gurgle problem

when i kick the engine over i get a loud gurgle noise and oil poures out of the oil breather pipe whats wrong please help

This happens to my OM's 86 Heritage, only of course he's not kicking it, but when it sits all winter and he brings it out in spring it pukes oil every year does the same thing. After that it's fine all season.

Does yours do it every time or just after it's sat for a few weeks?

HDgirl is on the right trail. Mine does the same thing every spring. Your
ok as long as its been a while between starts. When it sits to long oil sneaks past the check valve and fills the crankcase. Once it starts and pucks it all out, your good to go(course ya got to top off the oil tank).

thanks for that i will try running it for a while .i have just bought this one and i think it had been standing a while.
