82 shovelhead diagram

I have just bought a hd fxr in parts the engine and tranny have been rebuilt everything is hear to rebuild bike but was wondering if some one has or I can buy a diagram for the engine to ride out where the rest of the parts go anything would be helpfully at this point

You need to get hold of the Harley Davidson OEM Factory Parts and Service manuals.Not anything else. The Factory manuals have photo's,diagrams,spec sheets,tells you the correct bolt and nut sizes all the torque spec's.Everything yo need to put the bike back together.Look an E-bay in the Manual and Literature sections. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw...XR&_sacat=6029

yes, the manual has a diagram and explains thaat you need to install the harness before the motor and battery box, I also like the harley parts catalogue for the same model/year thaat you are working on, it's like IPB of your bike, and it gives part numbers and describes the part and interchange.
