Shovel oil vent hose pumping oil

Working with my buddy on his 78 FLH. Sat for 2 years and all the oil leaked out of the crankcase vent hose. Got it started tonight and it was pumping oil out of that hose. (lowest one on oil pump, lower left of oil pressure switch). Is something stuck? any ideas? Thanks, Th

The oil sumps. Catch it with a pan and it should stop soon. Add new oil to oil tank. My shovel did the same thing after about 3 mos of sitting. NORMAL!

Happens because the check ball in the oil pump is not completely sealing.

Hi Man

No,, nothing is stuck..

Dyna and Ed are dead on and there's nothing you need to do..

However,,, Uh,, often if you go directly to the bar after re-fill with oil it stops for another 2 years, funny how that works,,,,,, yeah baby..!!
