Flywheel balancing

Talked to a guy who said he static balances Harley flywheels that are put togather, trued up and all.Does it on centers like a trueing stand. I've balanced flywheels with an S&S kit. I've seen where they are dynamicly spun and balanced.Do you have any idea how he does this staticly? Nearest thing I've heard of was to have one piston on with 5 pennies in the piston and you balance it like a wheel. Any one have any info on this?

Let me add a little more confusion to the issue. Static assembled balancing discussed here.

S&S's flywheel rebuild/balancing tooling, and instructional bulletins,
make no mention of using loose change to aid in the balancing of flywheels.
They have a bob weight system, and formula to establish the dedicated 60% balance factor, when performing that operation, during the flywheel re-building process.
Static balancing is very accurate, done correctly.
