1979 Ironhead unknown oil leak confirmation

I have a 1979 ironhead sportster that I just aquired. I know very little about the bike or the engine. I took the front chain drive main sprocket cover off to clean behind it. I also removed the brake lever cover to expose the sprocket. Here's the problem. When I stand the bike up to move it, oil poors out of the bottom bolt hole for the cover. The bolt hole just aft of the brake pedal shaft at the bottom of the case. Is this normal?
