I was taking apart the clutch on my 81 flt and was having trouble taking off the nut holding the primary drive chain side. My ? is ,is it righthand or lefthand threaded. Don

The hub nut is left handed thread...

The front drive nut (1 1/2") is right handed and usually very tight,an impact is your best friend here.The clutch hub nut (1 1/8") is left handed.
