engine / tranny removal 81 fxwg

had this bike some 28 years now, i'd like to pull the engine & tranny to sandblast the frame ..

can i save time by leaving the inner primary attached to the tranny, and taking them both out together ..?

No you can't remove motor & tranny together tranny removes & installs from the left (primary side) Engine removes and installs from the right side (carb side) it not much of a time saver to keep the primary attached to the tranny when tearing down anyway. Also if that motor & tranny need any up grades or service give a call I'll make better than new for you if you have any questions just call be happy to help out
