Are the aftermarket cylinders any good?

I`m doing my shovelhead and am wondering if the aftermarket cylinders are worth the effort, or should I find oem harley cylinders? I know there all made overseas bit I`m wondering on the quality. I plan on using wiseco pistons. This bike sees alot of street riding and short trips of couple hundered miles.

After market cylinders are good enough for a mild street motor S&S offers very good cylinders for a bit more money. If you get used ones don't use them if they have been borded out to there limit

What makes you think they are all made overseas?? Check Axtell. I believe they are made in USA.

If you start pulling inventory from Dennis Kirk, of J&P, or others "house" brand, then I would imagine that they are coming from China.
Several outfits offer USA-made cylinders.
