Tuning up the shovelhead and installing a singlefire, programable ignition system. Engine didn't come stock with a VOES. I think I ought to put one on and use it. The manifold I'm using with the CV carb has the port on the flange. My question is, is there any differance (or advantage) between the options? I don't really care about mounting arrangement, but do they all switch at 6 - 8 inches or should I get something aftermarket?
I installed the Zippers Thunderbolt electronic ignition on my 83' FXE, and also put in a Zippers Voes. I've not seen much difference between VOES by different manufactureres except for the setting. All units are factory sealed, but the plug can be removed and the switch adjusted to meet your needs.
