why a long reach plug when threads in the head are short?

They screwed around with extended reach/tip plugs as well.
Electrode was hanging out about 5/16".

You must have a 74", my 1978-1/2 FLH 80" Classic takes the long reach plugs.

a '78 uses long plugs. if you have short plug heads they're not original.

Any how if you have a short reach head,,,DON'T run long reach,,,have seen the threads carbon up and mess up threads in head when removing..I run NGK BPR5ES,,,I believe the#s could have changed..
