options for 4spd shovel...

Working on a '81 flh with a 93" stroker. Currently has 4spd with Andrews gears. Would really like to go to a 5 spd. What are the options? Stock 5spd? Baker? Revtech? Andrews?

I believe that you can get a 5 into 4 conversion kit.

springer- will become famous soon enough
There are many 5 in a 4 conversions available. Sputhe, revtech, Baker and several others offer them I believe. I used the Sputhe and have no regrets. Personally I would not use any of the cheaper kits like the revtech. Depending on you skill level it can be a costly upgrade since none of them are "bolt in" kits. They all require some level of modification to install. If I had to guess I would say expect it to cost over $2000 by the time you are done.

Have used a ton of Baker products.
They'd be your best bet.

like tequacha says, regear 24-48, or 47. i have a 90" shovel 3.5 bore x 4.75 stroke, had it geared 24-48. worked well. now have a Baker 6 into 4 w/kicker works even better, but you are talking some bucks. you could also fit softail 5 speed trans. takes some mods tho. need special trans mtg plate, need to grind on trans to clear swing arm and use softail primary and starter. basicly thats what the Rivera Primo kit is doing. going with wide ratio gears in for speed and regearing trans and wheel sprocket cheapest way to go
