I have one...haven't installed it....but it looks good and seems sturdy for the price.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago. My bike is custom painted, so I just bought the black one and have it in primer now, waiting until I have time to do the base/clear. It seems pretty good for the price, maybe a little flimsy though. I'm not a fan of the lock assembly. Mounting it will be a slight problem as the saddlebag lids will not clear it without a spacer. Also, the holes don't mount up with the rail that is on the bike now (where the radio used to sit). I'm planning to mount it to the radio baseplate and use 3/4" spacers to get it to clear the saddelbag lids. Overall I think it's ok for $140, but you may find that a used original Tourpak is a better buy.

If you're going to paint it it's okay. I, too, bought a vivid black one to match my bike. It has deep swirls and scratches when it arrived. When I called for replacement they said to buff it out. I said I did and they weren't coming out. She said she could promise the replacement would be any better! I had to align and drill holes to make it fit the harley quick release bracket for tour paks. I only use it for overnight runs so it's not on often. I guess it's okay for the money. Just know the finish won't be great.

Here is what I did, used the radio support tray that came with the bike under the box and drilled it out to match the bottom of the box. Used longer bolts and some stainless pipe cut to ? leingth to stand the box off of the radio plate so the saddle bag lids cleared the bottom of the box. Works great....just make sure you use the included metal straps and some fender washers inside the box to help give it extra support.
Hope that helps

How does the black box look on the birch white bike? I too am looking at the box. Squad-fitter has a birch white box for sale on their site, I am not too sure if I like that one though.

don't you have black side panels? If you want to, the birch white is easy to copy and you can spray the panels and the box cheaply, much cheaper than a HD box

Yes the sides are still black, I am sure the H-D is a lot more than what I would like to spend, I am using a black tail bag on the bike now and do not mind it at all, it is just not secure.

I think that you answered your own question - It will look like a police bike - SUPRIZE! it is a police bike.

My '04 TPI has changed a lot since this picture was taken in July '05 waiting for a buddy to head to Ontario from Atlanta:
http://
The Mutazu is mounted on an HD solo detachable rack. I used hard rubber automotive bushings sandwiched between thin stainless washers to provide the 3/4" to 1" necessary for saddlebag clearance.
It's an excellent value IMO.
