would you?

I'm considering buying an 07 or newer FLHTP. I was wondering, if a friend or family member wanted to buy your current service bike when the lease is returned, would you recommend it?

yes, no, maybe. I routinely get a new bike every year and some of the them have been excellent. One of my riding partners actually bought my 07 return instead of the one he rode, because his was plagued with some minor troubles and mine just flat ran great. If possible talk to the motors who were riding them.

I don't know if I would want to buy one of our used bikes. We ride them pretty hard sometimes. I definitely wouldn't want the one I took to motor school. I must have dumped that thing a 100 times or more over the 2 weeks of the school. One of my co-workers bought one of our 2007 bikes. So far no problems.

same as the other remarks. Some yes, some no. It REALLY depends on the bike's history. If you could speak with the rider who it was assigned to would be the deal breaker/maker. My partner's bike is UNBELIEVABLY great condition!! Mine is a little more worn : )

thanks for the feedback guys. I've seen a couple 08's with less than 500 miles on them, one of them sold by squadfitters in IL went for 14,100 on ebay. Something comparable to this is more what I will probably settle on, not gonna rush it.

I bought an 07 FLHTP with 7800 miles on it in June. I have almost 10k on it now and the only problem I've had is the neutral indicator LED burned out.

That's not too bad in my book.

I did. It was one of our 08 bikes (not mine though ) and I knew the entire history. The guy rode it with extreme care and was only down MAYBE 10 times on crash bars from training (they were replaced before I bought it).
