Police Seat question

Ok should the seat when you're sitting on it have the rubber bumpers on the bottom of the seat touching the seat pan? Or should you have enough air in the bladder to just allow the rubber bumpers to touch? thanks

Cool Seat

No, if the seat rubbers touch the seat pan you won't get the full use of the luxurious air bladder.
I think if the air bladder loses all its air pressure those little rubbers will allow you to keep riding.

That is as low as you really want to be without sliding off the back. it does take some getting used to, but is by far the most comfortable seat around.

According to the service manual, the way to check air pressure in the seat is to bounce up and down on the seat to simulate a bumpy ride and make sure there is enough pressure to prevent you from hitting the bottom. The manual recommends starting with 40 psi and adjusting up or down for comfort.

I normally make sure I can stick my finger between the rubber bumper and the seat pan while sitting on it.
