There seems to be quite a few '07 police bikes coming off lease and into the used marketplace. I've been wanting a RK for some time, and the 103, 6 speed, ABS equipped '07 FLHPI's really do it for me.
I've been tracking auctions over on the bay. At any given time, there are usually a half dozen or so '07 and newer bikes, more RK's than Glides. Most asking prices run 12-14 thousand, but lots of bikes dont bring that much. Every now and then there'll be a bike with a buy-it-now price under 10K, and they usually go quickly.
If you search completed auctions there, you can get a pretty good feel for what's going on with these bikes. Dealers want 13-14K, but buyers want to spend less than 10K.
And yeah, I finally pulled the trigger and won an auction for a '07 RK.
It's not here yet, I hope to pin down the shipping on Monday. I live near Tacoma, and the bike is in Orlando, so it's going to be at least a week before I see it in person.
