Police Radio/Light box

I am fitting a Harley police tour pack on to the standard police air ride seat tour pack rack.
I have noticed that some of these are mounted forward to allow fitment of the rear revolving beacon.
If fitted in the forward position there needs to be a forward support bracket. Can anyone tell me where this bracket bolts to the frame? Is it on to the forward saddle bag mount?

You could use the solo seat tourpac mount, but I believe that they only come as removeable and then you need to install docking points. That could allow for some rack to the rear of the box.

Thanks R66P but thats not an option. I have seen plenty of pix of the HDPolice Tour pak mounted forward with a seperate bracket off the front. I just can't work out where it bolts to on the frame. Someone out there must have one that mounts this way????

Have a pic of what your talking about? All I have ever seen is the hard mounted tour pack bracket and then there is a flat plate that sits on the top of the rack. The tour pack rack fits between the license plate bolts and the rail holes beside the shock mount.
That flat plate has a hole that holds the pole light with a rubber gromet, then the radio box has rubberised stand offs that attach the box to the flat metal plate.
All those parts are available most of the time on Ebay prety cheep.

If the light box is mounted directly on top of the plate it covers the light pole hole. If it is mounted forward so that the front of the box sits directly behind the riders seat, the hole is exposed and can be used but there is a fair amount of the box hanging off the front of the plate. This needs to be supported with a bracket that bolts to the frame somewhere near the rear of the seat. I just dont know where this attaches.

we either run boxes or light poles but not both.

Yes, the bracket uses the forward saddlebag brackets on each side. I was at my local HD store today and a 2003 FLHTPI from Roswell, GA PD was in for service and took a look.

I am a Motor officer in the U.S. I have recently designed and produced a bracket for the relocation of the light box(tour box) If you would be interested in one, you can e-mail me. Also my bracket comes in chrome plate or black, and it does attach to the forward saddlebag bracket bolts. I think it is exactly what your looking for.
