red switches

Paul,

I moved my horn to the horizontal horn/siren red switch on the bottom. Its a momentary non-rocker switch. I then used the red siren off/on rocker switch above for the driving lights so I don't have to take my hands off the bars to shut the driving lights off/on.

I think the bottom horizontal switch would work great as a volume control. You would need a momentary horn rocker switch from a standard control set to move your horn next to the bright dimmer rocker above.

I used Testors flat black model paint to cover the red switches. I changed out the throttle control side to a standard control pod so I could eliminate the bottom rocker there.

Wiring Harness

Get the supplemental Polic bike repair manual and a schematic for the radio, a test light and a cheap ohm meter. The harness daylights inside the nacell on a RK and inside the fairing on a FLH model. Dig in. Old police bikes are made to mess around with and make your own.
