RK Classic Bags

Has anyone installed ROad King Classic hard leather bags on an FLHP and if so was there any modification required?

check out the touring section, look for the "ultimate roadking handlebar thread" and scroll through it until you find three or four photos of my 07 roadking classic. Its not an FLHPI but, I did install the air ride seat. The Seat and the Bags look fantastic together! I get compliments where ever I go. The basket weave on the bags almost matches the seat fabric perfectly. Mustang seats also makes a rear passenger seat that matches too. I even had a guy recover my passenger backrest pad with an insert of this material.
Hope this helps.

Ooops, almost missed the purpose of your question. They mount the same way, with the same brackets, you may just have to loosen the rear bracket and turn it a little bit. You may have to remove your bag crash bars too (at least it looks better without them)

thanks for the info.

I had actually seen the thread the other day and noticed your bike, Nice.

Mine is a 96 flhpi that I ultimately want to look like the flhrci that I had to sell.

I have a mustang 2 up touring seat w/drivers backrest that is very comfortable.

Eventually I plan to install hard leather bags, chrome nacelle, chrome bar cover, spoke wheels, wide white walls, classic fender tip and se 27 cams AND the same tank emblem you have on yours.

Thanks again for the info on the bags.

After reading your thread on the Heritage handlebars I had them installed on my 07 RK Classic. I like them better than stock but still would like a couple more inches of pull back.
