Hi , I am looking to replace the black pucks on my saddle bags with a little chrome. I don't want to go with the owens option setup.I also want to avoid the push buttons (look good but not water resistant. I think Ive seen some with a skull engraved on them. I think they are smaller than owens model. But I can't find out who makes them. Any ideas?

Thanks, these were the pucks that I was looking for. However when I called them, I was told that they were no longer making that part because they were threatened with a lawsuit from the MOCO. WTF!!!!

My buttons are from Squadfitters have had 2 sets on my issued bikes and 1 on my personal bike...never leaked and WELL worth the $$$. Put the laser in the low side, slam it shut and take off. I HATED always having to twist the hockey puck and see a mile down the road it's come open.

You got a part number for them??You just close the lid and they latch?? Just checked Squadfitters and could only find the pushbutton latch. My bag is leaking on the right side around the puck and where I am if you don't ride in the rain, you ain't gonna ride much.

go to fatbaggers.com in the saddlebag accesories tab they have chrome replacements for the pucks.they look different not pucks

If the bag is leaking around the puck, there are two things to check. One is the mounting bracket on the lid loose? Meaning the rivets that hold the bracket to the bag, if they are loose and not tight it will leak. Rivets are pop in style and can be carfully drilled out and replaced. Secondly there is a large foam-doughnut shaped gasket that is supposed to surround the shaft under the puck. If the adheasive that is used to hold the gasket to the top of the bag, or the material itself has broken down...it will cause the leak. The gaskets and the rivets are very cheap parts from HD. If anyone needs the part numbers PM me and I will get them for you. I have the bag breakdown with parts list I can get to you in a PDF. I just re did my bags after the paint job, with the new rivets and gaskets they are better than when I bought the bike.

I have seen the chrome caps for the pucks, but...IMHO they are huge and ugly. Id go with painting them before id get the chrome ones. The pop up ones look neat, but Id be worried about leakage and loosing that little bit of extra room in the bag for the latch sticking down. Ive even heard of people over packing the bag and having it not stay latched. Some make guard brackets to attach on either side of the latch so your whatevers dont push on the latch itself.

There's a guy that sells on ebay, his name is Dick Pomeroy. I do not have his email, but his card lists a phone #: 763-441-3010. He also does alot of nice machined parts, like hinges, and the chrome quality is excellent...

By FAR the best out there, the design is simple and easy. And I have tried other, but they aren't even close.
