Chrome Nacelle

I have been searching for a while with no results. how do I go about changing the black nacelle on my 2006 flhpi to chrome? Is there a factory change over or is it an aftermarket fix? Thanks for the help

If you have a local chrome shop that's any good it would probably be cheaper just to have the stock one done. Just a thought.

I see them on ebay sometimes. They are standard Roadking and come in chrome or black for the police models. Either one will fit your bike

I have an 04. I bought a Chrome nassel for around 220.00 on ebay. Sold the black one with tach for 170.00. You just have to keep watching. New it would be about 600 or 700.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the nacelle yesterday and can't figure out how to get the top piece off that hold the tach and houses the fork lock. Any tips?

You have to take the headlight off and on the inside top of the nacelle there is a screw with a small nut on it. It's attached to the top cover and if you take the nut off, the top cover will come off. If that doesn't work loosen the two acorn nuts on each side of the forks and the top cover will slide toward the headlight and come off. Best bet is to get the factory service manual for the touring bikes which explains all this.
