Stop by an HD store and look at the 2006 or newer Touring Models parts book and locate the Interconnect Wiring Harness. It will show a connector (a 35 place Molex, IIRC) and the pins/sockets (wire terminals that go on the wires that plug into the connector) for the plug at the rear of the radio. Buy the connector and pins/sockets you need from the HD store.
Check a Service Manual for the '06 or newer Touring Models and it will also contain a wiring diagram for the stereo showing the numbered chambers used in the connector for the left and right speakers + and - terminals, as well as power and ground for the head unit.
With the connector and pins for the headunit plug, you will be able to wire up the speakers and power the headunit.
A better alternative may be to check-out Biketronics.com's website and buy their Retro Radio kit, and their switch kit for police models that mounts on the handlebars without disturbing the OEM handlebar switches.
