Look on ebay that is where I bought mine. Have had it on for a couple of years. Lowered the bike 2.5" in the back and can tell 0 difference in handling etc. Simple to install and I like it. keepem sharp

lowered RK

I have a 97 Road King, I would also love to lower it but as it is I constantly drag the floor boards, good luck on your project.

I've never been a fan of lowering kits that change the shock angle. I would get a set of the Low Profile shocks. JMO.

Hi flhpi04,

My brother had a lowering kit on his Electra Glide, came around a corner- after a stop at a red light. The road had a substantial "road dome"- it was higher in the middle and sloped down on each side.

As he came past the centerline he caught his floorboard, and sent the bike, his lady friend and himself scraping across the road.

The lower kit dramatically changed his lean angle, he scrapes a lot. He had been driving it for more than a year since lowering it, but this was a more pronounced road deviation than average.

Luckily they are well but the girlfriend lost a couple of weeks of work, with road rash on leg and arm on the down side (Left).

Use caution.

Henry

Bought a lowering kit off of eBay for my 2001 FLHPI lowered it 2 1/4"...did good riding solo...different story riding 2 up...handling was compromised....took 'em off the next day....go with a shorter shock.....JMHO

i wouldn't lower it...instead drop some of the air from the shocks and eat more!

lowering

Are you lowering to get more foot on the ground? Road kings have bad lean angles. I have heard that Electra glides can be lowered a little without negative effects. I put the 2inch lower shockes and a White Bros lowering kit in the front of my 1980 FLT. Incredible.
I guess the FLTs frame was set up differently.
