Tcfi 3 Questions

so, been using this setup on my bagger and have been absolutely thrilled so far. only a couple of gripes. i have changed the ignition map used and wonder what other people have been using out there. also, the af map, wtf? mileage has not been fantastic, so i've leaned it out a bit at cruising conditions, that seems to be working well. but how come they feel the need to have this thing set for a 12.5 to 1 af at wot and 4 to 6k rpm? being that fat won't build any horsepower?
working on the fuel econmy issue and getting a little ping with light accel below 3500, changed the ignition map to a little more conservative setup, changed my af table in the trouble area too. we'll see i guess.
don't tell the wife, i took it up to the strip, let my buddy makes some passes, his 1st time out i might add, and he got that pile of spare parts to go 12.88!! i think there is more there....

I have the tcfiII, but, yeah... I've played with the AFR a lot too. The only two complaints I have are an occasional back fire on start up (very occasional and usually if I accidentally only bump the starter) and some lean pops if I engine-brake too long slowing down from 50.

I can't help too much with the timing issue. The only thing I've heard is to play with it. If you hear pinging, back off.

95" s$s dome pistons, tw60 andrews, very nice heads, 1.900 intake, martin bros bagdaddy[pos] stock throttle body, se injectors, the ones off a 50mm tb. pretty simple, mild build, happy with the power. hard to be after riding the superglide, but hey, it's a touring bike right? can't seem to get spark knock tuned out, played with timing, fuel, wondering, if it's really fat, will that cause some pinging?i'm going to take some fuel away where i feel the problem is at. that don't make sense. also thinking about changing parameters to a higher hp, change the overall fuel curve? maybe?
