Thanks Sailor for checking this out. The nut has to be 1/2'' across the flats to clear inside the pushrod tube. The S/E nut is hardend. I drilled out a nut and tapped it. Did a 1500 mile ride this weekend and everthing stayed tight so I guess things will be OK with the nut that I tapped, but if I can get a proper nut I will swap it out.
