Same project, but just thought of another option...
Does anyone have a big, squishy solo seat from a Sportster (or old FL) they don't need?
Most any year would work, up to about 16.5 inches long, width = the wider the better.

i got the stockseat from a sporty the 2 piece style.

Can you get a length and width on that seat?
I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I guess it would be better to see if it won't work before you spend time and effort getting it sent off.
