Cross Country Biker needs help

I am about to get the 5th year of my WRLD2R through the United States started once the weather breaks in Portland. This is the second bike on this trip, as I retired and sold my older Softail last year in San Francisco. I bought a new 08 Road Glide in Daytona at Bikeweek and drove it across Mexico and up the Pacific Coast last summer. I ended up leaving the Road Glide at the Portland Airport last October, as I had to fly home in advance of Hurricane Ike hitting my home town of Houston.

By the time the storm had been dealt with, the weather had turned cold and wet in the NW and I ended up leaving the bike in Portland. BTW, Portland has FREE covered motorcycle parking next to where the airport police park at the baggage claim entrance. This saved me hundreds of $$$ over a public storage I had reserved in Seattle where I had planned to leave the bike for the winter.

Here is where I need help. During the off season I powdered coated a set of lower forks red to match the rest of the bike. The fairing has been painted to match, along with the wheels. I decided instead of "Chasing Chrome" with this bike, I would try to go with an all color look. I am looking to see if anyone out in the Portland area could lend me their garage and a motorcycle lift for a few hours as I want to bring the powder coated lowers out with me and switch them out with the existing. I have a full set of tools already in the side bags, so all I am in need of is a lift.

I plan on leaving the bike out in the Northwest for a year or two to explore your part of the country, British Columbia and Alaska, so I wont have the opportunity to get the bike back home for a while to do this switch in the comfort of my garage.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

A big thanks is in order for Shovel13, who allowed me to use his workshop to switch out my forks with a matching set of Candy Red powder coated lowers and cow bells to match my Crimson Red Sunglo Road Glide. The bike looks trick and is now ready to head further north for the summer.

Keith took me for a 270 mile ride the next day through his "back yard" where we rode around Mt. St. Helen and Rainier. The weather and scenery was perfect, and Keith turned out to be a good companion and fellow rider. Thanks again and remember, if you ever get out my way or come back to Daytona for Bike Week, you have friend.
