Oregonian and Washington Riders, Lets here from YOU

I live in Central Oregon, just west of Bend. Weather here has been just horrendous the last three weeks, snow, rain and ice! There has never been a time over the last six years that I wish spring would arrive SOONER, not later!

The wife and I have always riden snowmoblies, ALOT over the last ten years, but this year, were just not excited about getting out in the constantly changing weather and snow conditions! But, we are excited about riding the bikes this spring, she keeps coming up with more places to see, and things to do, when the weather finally breaks this spring!

Why wait til Spring? Buy some good rain gear! In all seriousness, the weather has been awful. But this next weekend is purportedly going to be sunny and about 50. And we will be riding.

I've had the Gerbing jacket liner and gloves, best thing to have for the winter time. If it's not snowing or icing, you can ride all day...

Hi from Beaverton.
Well the good news is, it's raining here and the snow is all washed away.

The bad news is, it's raining here and the rivers are already too full.

Such is life in the northwest.

Talking I only got a little wet

I just got home about 20 minutes ago, it was a very light sprinkle, actually quite nice. The weather has warmed up a little compared to what it has been the last few weeks. I too ride 7 days a week, except for the ice we had last week or so. I did get over 50 miles today, nothing to brag about, but I rode. So I say Howdy from Federal Way.

weather

Hi everyone. Haven't posted much here since I joined last summer. I was living on the Oregon coast when I joined but since then I met a woman on line and have moved to Florida, temporarily. We are moving back to Oregon in June.
Have been following the weather there closely. Hate to say I ride almost everyday. Some days I have even had to wear a jacket. Sunny, breezy, and mid 70s today.
I have started a data base of Oregon and Washington V-TwinForum members. If anyone would like a copy send me a pm and I will send you one. I have tried to keep it current but may have missed a few members here and there.

Ride Safe.

I think from Ft.Lewis to Fife has got to be the worst stretch of I-5 all up and down the coast!!

Prayin' for sunshine

Man, the weather has been a$$! That's why I chose this time to tear into the bike & paint it. Got it back together, and just bought a new battery today at DHD. Holy crap, they are friggin' expensive nowadays!!!!!!! UPS sez my new (used) Mustang seat will be here tomorrow, so I'm hoping for a little nice weather to ride this weekend. Guess I have to fill a gas can & put some juice in the nice, dry tank I just painted!!

And yes, the S. T-town to Ft. Lewis stretch is the crappiest stretch of I-5 I know of.

It looks as if it's still going to be sunny this coming weekend. Should be interesting riding what with all the sand and gravel put down by DOT during the snowstorms.

At this point, I'm willing to get sand-blasted in exchange for some quality saddle time!!!!

Talking It was a wet one

Just got home about 10 minutes ago. Only went about 7 miles but got dumped on all the way. I ride every day so I should be use to this wet weather. Guess I'm more tired than I thought, not one of my most memorible rides, got stuck at almost every light. Tomorrow will be a better day if I get some sleep.

Naw, metro Portland and Seattle are way worse.

I'm passing main gate at 2pm, then again at 10pm, so all the fun is done before I pass.

BTW it was one heck of a gully washer today.

Gotta cage it tomrrow :-( (Carrying computer parts)

Friday 9am, Patriot Guard run at Eagle Leather, Tacoma.

Sposed to be nice (which means no or little rain)

Well, we are just over the border in SW Idaho, and our weather has been crappy as well. However, my wife and I are planning on attending the Oregon H.O.G. Rally at Mt. Hood this summer. We'll load our bikes in the toyhauler so that we have something to base camp out of. Maybe we'll see you there!
