They're talking about 70K bikers, were you there last year? It was pretty packed...

Nope, this is my first year.

70K bikers? Or 20K on bikes and 50K in cars?
Down here one of the local radio stations was giving away tickets to the festival. "And you don't even need a bike to go!"

I was down there all 3 days... pretty low turn out on friday, Saturday was just ok. Sunday I think there was a lot more people there just to see Foo Fighters. The biker crowd was a good turnout.. The Love Ride people said they had more pre registrations than the year they had BB King, which they said was there best year. I think them moving the venue to Pomona is a good idea, I just think the riders just have to get used to it. So many are used to going to Castaic Lake.

love Ride

I went on sunday had a good time with friends the wall of death was the coolest thing and the excile trike but the food was a joke come on were they the cheapest bid. I hope the money really makes to the right charities not someones pocket. But the ride home over Big Tujunga was awsome letting it hang out with the boys( love my E3s) but at the bottom there was at least 5 paramedics working on a biker 100 feet from what was left of his scoot the car turned left in front of him the rear quarter was hammered. Cannot find anything on it online have kept em in my prayers.

I left early Saturday morning on the Gold Wing, 470 miles from Tucson to gate 17 of Fairplex just off I-10. Checked into a real dump Motel 6. Sunday food at Fairplex was eatable, if you ate the pork or chicken or whatever it was and trashed the beef BBQ. Drink lines were 30-45 minutes long. I wonder if the VIP people near the bandstand got better food & service?? Police were cruising the parking lot, they said searching for stolen bikes. Most people there were friendly, except for Dunlop tire reps who displayed an attitude. Guess that's why nobody else would talk to them? HD demo bikes were there, I didn't see too many takers.

Heading back to Tucson on I-8, got stopped for doing 92 in a 65MPH zone just east of Yuma. Showed my papers and my AZ CCW permit. Received a written warning for 70 in a 65 zone.

Rode the speed limit from there to Tucson.
