GrayRider is reading this now saying WTF is this?
The Appalachian Princess gives me a handful to take every morning. There's even something for my memory, but I don't remember what it is.

I am a big fan of flintstones chewables. 10 million stron and growing.

Also I was prescribed Silva-sorb by a surgeon for a puncture would from a bike accident and it worked beautifully topically, silver is antimicrobial according to doc.

I'm in my 60th year and am fortunate enough to be able to ride mountain bikes and a fat bike in winter with folks in their 20's. Long story about Hep C and its and the meds long term effects, but even with that--I'm healthy. I work hard as a carpenter and still have energy to ride, hike, shoe etc. When I was young, I was what you'd call a health nut and over the years off and on have taken supplements. At this late date, I think a decent multiple vitamin and mineral supplement isn't a bad idea, but I believe eating a balanced diet is the best medicine and avoiding some stuff.
I read a book in the 70's called 'Sugar Blues' written by an MD in which he tracked the increase of sugar use and refined carbs with disease states over the decades leading up to that time. He showed a correlation. I stopped taking in refined sugar and refined carbs and have been pretty consistent all of my life.
These things, among others, can throw your body into metabolic imbalance. Not good.
Eat good and don't stop moving.
A molecular biologist named Linus Pauling did a good job of arguing for vitamin C, not sure where that science is now, but I used to mega-dose C along with supplements.

After its all said and done--its in the DNA man. You can only attempt to maximize what the 'blueprint' says.

Keep the juices flowing fellas.

Expat in CH wants to know Dino or Syn?
I was in USMC Reconnaissance Battalion.
Very had training, every day. Extreme in every way.
Lifted iron like a madman through my 20s into my 30's.
Was ripped and could swim like a fish and run like a deer.
Ran many marathons and competed in triathlons etc...
Martial arts for 12 years, blah blah blah....

Time, family and mostly a good career will unfortunately take you out of the gym,... but I digress

I have been taking supplements for 20 years now.
I have tried it all, and read many books about how it all works.

For me, after all this time I take USANA Mega Antioxidant and Chelated Mineral every day.
Not a rep nor do I have any angle on recommending this product. Other than I know, it really works.
Keeps my stress level low and my energy high. Also seriously keeps my mind razor sharp.

I feel it when I dont take it for a month or two.
I try to give my body (liver) a break from time to time.

I highly, highly recommend it.
The only downside is it is distributed through a stupid pyramid scheme in the USA.
However, its worth the hassle.

Also, you will be pooping like a goose for the first two weeks.
Finally, dont take them on an empty stomach, you will get sick.... they are seriously strong.
If you are over 40, read a book called, Healthy Aging by Dr. Weil
His recommendations are exactly what USANA makes.
No connections in-between them I assure you.

Try it for a month, you will be a believer.

I agree with some previous posts, yes most of it will be pissed away.
Eat a good diet and you dont need supplements.
The food id the USA is grown for volume, not taste or nutrition.
The amount of vitamins in your food is half of what it was 50 years ago.

I err on the side of health and well being.
My toilet does not care if it eats high octane.

I take my aspirin daily, good multi vitamin, and a couple other things. I also drink kefir every day. Yogurt drink which has more good stuff in it and tastes great. Try it.
I also take a tea spoon full of Apple cider vinegar with mother...something my Canadian Gram got me doing since I was a kid...supposed to keep you from getting sick...I'm still here...LOL.
I may upgrade my multivitamin quality...I take a good one, but there might be a better one.
Good winter subject...stay warm.
