Be Careful Before Deciding To Make Stuff

Just a warning to those thinking about making sh!t for the wife. CAREFULLY consider what could come of it!!!

My wife for the longest time wanted something to hang her necklaces on and could never find exactly what she wanted. So I asked her to give me her 'specs' thinking I would keep an eye out for something.

Now, being the man I decided to make something since I couldn't readily find what she wanted. A month later I give her what she wants. She's over the moon happy!!!

BUT

Now she's saying I need to make more of them for this person and that person and that person and this person... more persons than I care to discuss.

curvecarver wants to know Dino or Syn?
I have an angel but sometimes there is just no winning. There is absolutely nothing that I could buy or make for her that she would need or use.

For example. I tried to explain to the Mrs that I NEED a S&W 357 Airlite. She just doesn't get it. What's the south side of $900.00 when it comes to a NEED? I don't get it but just looking at it from a mans point of view.

I don't think "example" means what you think it does.

Sounds like the start of a cottage industry. I see you with an e-bay store... oops... there you are Shark Tank. Millionaire in the making.

How about posting a pic? Maybe I'll order one for GNee.

Oh, don't think for a minute she hasn't already been talking budding enterprise. Shark Tank I would have considered at one time. Mark Cuban ruined that for me. Although, I would consider getting on board if Lori were to make an offer...

Is it like a mini coat tree? Or a neck tie hanger? I gave my girl 4 thin gold chains one Christmas, and presented them laid on a tiny Christmas tree like garland. She liked that.

More like a necktie hanger. Basically a piece of wood with some unique porcelain cabinet pulls for the hangers.

How about a few nails in the wall. That would make her think twice about going into production. And it would get you off the hook! Maybe worse...

Like most women, she already does her fair share of nails in the wall that I then have to fix and do right. I was ready to move her out to the deck when I came home and found she put a couple of small nails in the ends of the fireplace mantle to hang some garland. Wouldn't have been so bad if it were painted, but it's stained and therefore a pain in the ass to make the holes disappear.

Don't you just love when they decide to do those kind of things on their own. That's how the wife gets me every time.. She says she's going to attempt to do something and that's when I realize I better get involved.. They really got us figured out, don't they...

If she comes asking where a hammer or pliers are it's a sure bet she's up to something that's going to either cost me money or time.

LOL! Based on my experiences with such things, I was thinking she'd want more necklaces to fill it up. Yer getting off easy.

She has way more necklaces than any person could wear in a lifetime. Same with clothes, shoes, etc, etc, etc. As much as I don't get why she needs all this stuff, she doesn't get why I think she doesn't need all this stuff. It's a never ending battle between good and evil.

Lol love that marriage.

Funny when I make something she wants something else made and when she cooks something and I tell her I like it then I get more of it per week if I ask or not.
