Defragging
I have a Samsung 128 gig SSD. When I went to defrag, 14%, it said that defragging will reduce lifespan so I did not run it. How serious is this problem with SSD? How many times would be too many?

What a nice way to spend your time. (Nice bike, too. I like Triumphs. Two of my riding buddies ride them. The other is on a Heritage Softail.)

Fred, you are a traitor buying a parallel twin. Turn in your v-twin card even if you kept the Harley. Your garage is now contaminated. Off with you to the Limey forums.

Of course I kept my 2002 fxdx-t that now has 95in, polished heads, KB pistons, DDT ignition, HQ-575G cams, Supermeg pipe, Mustang seat, primary chain tensioner, Jagg cooler, steering damper, there is more but I forget what all. I will never get rid of this stump puller.
Here's the story: several months ago I had my annual physical. The blood workup, which has been boringly normal forever suddenly spiked a bunch of bad numbers. So my primary sent me for tests to local specialists. The echocardiogram is normal. Repeat creatinine test down to normal level . Renal ultrasound normal. The PSA had jumped from 2 to 7 in 1 year. A different marker test was run and it also was high. The urologist was pretty sure I had prostate cancer so he did a bioposy. The biopsy came back TOTALLY NORMAL. He said that does not happen often. I told him that I had saved some money to cover my surgery cost at the beginning of the year before insurance deductible kicked in. He told me to go out and buy another motorcycle so I did.
That is the updated versin of the Bonneville. THey make retro Bonnevilles too. Same 865 cc engine and tranny. Chain drive. It is so smoooth, like sitting at home in a chair. Because the power comes in at higher RPM I have to twist the throttle a lot more to get good acceleration but boy-howdy does it know how to accelerate. And it is about 120 lbs lighter than my HD. 61 HP and 53 TQ but don't let those numbers fool you.
See you on the funway, Bozo.

Well, after all..., it was Dr's orders.
Nice ride, Fredster. Triumphs are automatically cool just for the tank badge.

By chance did he give you a prescription for a new bike? I would probably need a prescription to for my CFO to authorize a second bike purchase. The best "non-narcotic" prescription I got was for a six pack from my dentist.
Congrats on your test results, must have been a scary time...

Cool Doctor
That's a great prescription to get from your doctor. Many are real jerks when it comes to motorcycles, I went to one years ago who liked to make snide remarks about "organ donors". My present rheumatologist (a pretty little Indian girl) was very enthusiastic when I rode my Harley to her office.
I'm glad you got a clean bill of health, have fun on that bike!

So now I'm wondering how much lobbying it would take to get this sort of prescription covered by health insurance.
