Hear, hear. We are losing our WWII vets 2000 a day now. God bless them for saving the world.

Uncle Salty will become famous soon enough
My father would turn 16 a few days after they struck Pearl Harbor. Just a farm boy from the backwoods of north Louisiana, he went to fight in the Pacific theater soon after. He will be 87 next week.

Michael Psycle will become famous soon enough
When I was growing up, everyone remembered and noted December 7th. It was a solemn day. There was always something on the local news on December 8th about the wreath laying at the Arizona the day before. Now I believe a lot of younger people would not be able to tell you what happened on December 7, 1941. Their equivalent is 9/11. That they remember. Neither should be forgotten, along with a lot of other history. We do learn from knowing the past. I grieve for all those who were killed.
