I just finished two books that provide some backstory to the idyllic town of Woodbury, GA in AMC's The Walking Dead. They are The Rise of the Governor and The Road to Woodbury, both by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga.
If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, check these out for some very interesting insight into the mind of the Governor.

About half way though "Killing Kennedy".
I was pretty young when all this went down, I knew we were close to nuclear war in Cuba and Kennedy was a hound. But WOW I had no idea really how close "hours" and the amount of women that went through the white house.
So for I would highly recommend it.

"State of Denial" by Bob Woodward. I'm surprised any administration lets Woodward interview folks. "The War Within" and "State of Denial" are not glowing accounts of our national leadership's approach and strategy towards Iraq.

Finished "Jesus of Nazareth" (Nativity) by Pope Benedict, the 3rd in the series, the first was by far the best (IMO), but this one was interesting enough to keep me page-turning during this Advent season.
Also knocked off "A Christmas Carol" the original manuscript, which is a Christmas tradition for me. The unabridged version by far the best (IMO).
Before that "Victory at Yorktown" by Newt Gingrich and William Forstchen, also the last in the series. Wouldn't recommend it if you haven't followed the whole series (too many characters to pick up in the end of the series) - really enjoyed the series. I'm not a big fan of "historical fiction" but these were very enjoyable to read.
Currently reading "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" - several short stories by Sir A.C. Doyle. Kinda like reading Readers Digest, you can knock one short story off in about 20 or 30 minutes so they make a nice time filler or bed-time read. Can't really recommend it unless you just like that era of language which I really do.
Will need something new by then end of the week...
PS. Thought I wouldn't, but I do love my Kindle which is integrated into my Samsung Note.

Decided on General (Joe Bite-me) McChrystal's book (released tomorrow on kindle). I figure it will be a good tie in to "No Easy Day" and "End Game."

Tom Clancy's Dead or Alive. I like his books because they are always a mix of "hey that could happen" to modern fiction. Most always military related.

Haven't been into a book in a couple months, but a real good read is Shadow Divers. True story that'll suck you in like the kid from Never Ending Story.

"How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. It's an old book but it's a good one. Anyone who works with people will find something to use in the book.

I just started "In the Graveyard of Empires" by Seth Jones.
For work, I am perusing "Culture Matters". It's a compilation of essays on culture (obviously). Some are pretty good. Others are about as exciting as watching paint dry.
