I totally agree. Each book is somewhat slow in the beginning, but really picks up speed towards the middle. By the end of the hornet's nest, I couldn't put it down. In my opinion, the second is his best, and my favorite.
I'm glad I read all three.
Speaking of horror, I'm a huge fan of vintage Stephen King. I have
all of his early stuff in chronological order, but I haven't read anything since the skeleton crew. I don't much care for his new stuff.
