The Patriot Guard has been asked by the Vietnam Veterans of America to participate as a motorcycle unit in the parade to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial…”The Wall.” I realize that there are many Veterans Day weekend activities going on throughout the region, and also pending missions. I think that not only is it a great honor to be invited to participate in this event, but also to help honor the memory of the 58,249 men & women who's duty and sacrifice are represented in "The Wall." If you are not committed to other events on November 10th, please consider joining us. If the PGR was around 40 years ago, we would have honored these brave folks the first time. Please help us do it now.
This is going to be an early day for a lot of us. We have set a staging area just outside of DC so that we can all get into the parade marshalling area together as a unit. Below is a Mapquest link for the staging area at The Centre at Forestville shopping center: 3393 Donnell Dr Forestville , MD 20747-3208,

Ride Captains, please plan on your groups arriving at the staging area between 8:00am and 8:30am.
Please be gassed-up before you arrive. Those arriving solo or in small groups to the staging area, please check in with me or one of my RC’s so that we can place you in the line-up.
I will provide you with local fuel options early next week.
We will be going kickstands-up at 9:00am for the ride into DC and the marshalling area for the parade.
All parade participants must be in the marshalling area by 10:00am.
Mounted flags recommended, but not required. 3 x 5 Flags OK.
Ride Captains try to get me a count by Wednesday, November 7 so that we can plan for traffic control.
