Cadillac vs. Harley
This is what happens when a Caddy hits a Harley. I was in and out (mostly out) for about 45 mins. I broke my knee cap…..I didn’t think it was possible, but I did it. H.O.G. is picking up the bike in the afternoon. I left the ER at about 0015 after being shot up with 90 mgs of Morphine (3- 30mg IVs), they pulled 2 pieces of door molding out of my leg (on the Knee and the big gash on my calf… I wonder if they want that back . I have to wait for a few weeks to see if I need to get the tendons reattached (torn 2). I have A LOT of road rash to boot……On the bright side..….. I just talked to Russ Brown Inc…(Famous motorcycle rights attorney)..$$$$$

@ Work in D.C., Leaving base ..the streets in DC suck, work in the hood...(fine place for a Military base).. I had about 1.5 to 2 car lenght spacing between me and the Car in front of me, then I have a white crappy caddy, pull out in front of me from a parking spot on the side of street. . My leg + Road king with full gear (bags, and tour pack...). Well me and the HOG are about 130i0ish lbs , big gettho caddy, 4000ish LBS??? I'm still amped up even all the morphine. This sucks, seeing my scoot...she is totaled...but she is insured with ALL the extras ($21,995 worth) according the the Insurance company... HUmm 2008 Street Glide....

Wow John, one hell of a way to get a new bike So, what hospital are you in ? I suppose since you were in the district, your up north somewhere ? As popular as the street glide is, it probably won't be one of the models cancelled for 2008. Anyway, glad to hear (and see) that your going to recover.

Evil, real glad to hear that you are doing O.K. considering the circumstances.
So, are you now at home now or will you have to return to the hospital?
Call me a Doof, but I forgot where ya live (I think I was only there once).
So, are you say that the S.O.B. was trying to drive off / hit-and-run after he hit you? Man, that just ain't right-what's the MoFo's address? Does the P.O.C. have insurance, and attorney? I'd tell that a-hole's attorney to tell his client to sell everything he's got of value because now it is yours.
I am seriously fukkin' pissed off! The beastard was trying to drive off after he hit you???

It seem that way, there were abotu 20 people over men (co-workers & Friends)...they think he got alittle spooked I keep yelling at him and the EMT guys..."let me go, I just want to talk to him " Don't think he had insurance to top it off. Wife is goin to theCVS to get my meds..I'll be high as a kite in about an hour, all the morphine is out of my system..
So does anyone know if there is going to be an 08 Streetglide in S/E trim (ie 110cid)

Glad to see you're in good spirits.
Sounds like you owe that buddy a few rounds when you're back on your feet again!
Best Wishes from the Prairie!

Very sorry to see you all banged up like that, but............
When I see the way you describe your bike in your sig, I gotta believe it was just a matter of time before something like this happened.
