Gonna need a new back tire soon.
So, I'm gonna need a new back tire soon (it probably has 3/32 in of tread).
Even though I could probably do it myself (now that I have a m/c jack), I think I would rather have a shop do it.
So....
do I go to a stealership or are there any indy shops you guys would recommend?

Swmnkd's buddy RC at Custom Cycles in Springfield did a good job for me. He's just off the side of the Springfield interchange on the opposite side from the mall.

That's clear up here...but the only place I'd suggest...

Chris got his rear changed at some indy over here in the Herndon/Chantilly area. Can't recall who it was, but he was pleased. Give him a shout.

Chris used Fast Lanes Cycles in Chantilly. I used Mark Long off of 606 in Dulles. You could also check with Devil Dawg Custom Cycles in Chantilly.

Do all these places sell tires too?
Or will I have to purchase a tire and bring it with me when I drop off the bike?
Thanks for all your inputs.

Tim;
I've bought from locals, but they usually can't beat the prices I get at Eastern Performance in Gambrils, Md. Look them up on the web. They usually ship tires for free in a couple of days. If you want to pick it up at the store, then you need to take the add because the store price and the internet price are NOT equal.

Wow...out of all the indy shops in the area, only 3 or 4 to recommend.
Maybe we need to open DCC (Delinquent Custom Cycles)?
I don't think we would get our logo approved for the big neon sign outside, though.
...may have to go with DCCC (Doof Clenas Custom Cycles)?
O.K. Guys, now I just need to find the $$$ (yeah, same story-wife sez the kids have to eat at least 3 times a day (what's up with that-the dog only eats once a day?). Also something about them needing clothes-though I saw a pic somewhere on here where it looks like Wal-Mart bags will work too.
..ok...I'm starting to grumble...back to work...

The husbands of two of my co-workers go to Waughs for their service work. One couple lives out near Warrentown, the other couple lives in Sterling. I think the guy in Sterling bought his bike at Whitts, so there is another vote against Whitts.

I hear good things about this place as well. I personally use Devil Dawg custom cycles but that is even further from you.
