New England Tour
We are going to be leaving this weekend for a tour of the Northeast.
Has anyone stayed at the Green Valley motor court (cabins) In Thornton NH. ?
I have got some roads and routes to see but open to suggestions.
We mostly ride for the scenery and the ride.We Will do the white mt. ride.
I like the looks of these cabins and the price so we may stay there a week and ride out each day. But usually we dont sit still or stay at one place that long so I am wondering about some other places to stay in the new England states.

We like to stay in North Conway, NH. Nice town and is centrally located to alot of nice places to visit. Be sure to go to the top of Mt. Washington.

I think I am gonna be around Sunday. If you are in NH then, I could meet you for lunch somewhere. The Kanc is less than an hour from me. Places on either end to eat, but not in the middle.

If you want to ride to the coast of Maine let me know. I am sure we can give you a nice tour of the area here. If you make it to YB's, I might be able to make that too.
Plenty of nice places to stay along the coast here as well.
Keep in touch.

Thanks guys for the replies
I am leaving sat 7/18 so doubt I will make it by sun noon.
my wife wont ride that hard LOL.
YB and springer thanks for your offers. I would like to ride the coast of maine. but I wont be getting out there untill 7/20 or 7/21 depending on how we ride (interstate or back roads). As you can tell we dont have a set plan just going to ride and enjoy.
Let me know if that will still fit into your plans to hook up some how.

Coastal Maine is a phenomenal ride! As is N Conway area too. I know some guys up at Bar Harbor, with a B&B. I painted Steve's last R/K and will be doing his FLHX soon too...GREAT people, him and his wife Jane know the island very well, and are great people. Probably won't have any vacancy...but their inn is called Aysgarth Station you can find them by doing a google search....
Enjoy the ride and hope you get great weather!

Well, let me know when you will be in the area. I know I will be busy Monday. But, Tues. is not locked in yet (could change). If it works out, great. If not, it wasn't meant to be.
Keep us posted!

sounds good Yankee Bob!
I hate to make definite plans on a trip that far. but would like to hook up somewhere.
we have no problem doing high mileage days.
we just have to decide how much sight seeing we are going to do along the way. Or are we just going to put some hard miles on and get there.
problem is there is a lot of good roads between here and there! LOL

Maybe a tad too late, unless you'll have internet access while on your trip.
Anyway....I was born and raised in Maine and still call it home, even though I've been in Florida for quite some time now.
My youngest sister still lives up that way.
There's so many good roads up there it's hard to pick any. Regardless of which roads you take you'll find that frost takes it's toll. Just be wary...some of those heaves can be pretty harsh. Although I must say it doesn't seem to be as bad as it used to be. They're either building the roads better, fixing them better, or both.
Personally, I would stay off 302 in Maine. It can be quite frustrating in the summer. It doesn't seem to be as bad in NH, unless that's changed in the last few years.
You might try picking some destinations and then finding the smallest roads you can to get there from where you are. One nice thing about ME/NH/VT is that it doesn't take that long to get to just about anywhere.
I know you'll have a great time. Keep the rubber on the road.
