Americade
Anyone here going? My Dad and I are going to be there the 2nd till the 6th. Anyone going want to meet up and talk bikes? Dad's got a Street Bob and I've got a Super Glide.

Made it up there yesterday with the BH-D Chapter. 20 (+/-) bikes...
Nice, back-road, 60+ mile ride...
McDermott's H-D in Ft. Ann was packed...
Got to LG about noon...
Maybe 6 BAZILLION bikes there... 
No probs with LEOs... 
Going back tomorrow & then up to Warrensburg
to man the Patriot Guard Riders booth (1:30-3:30)...

I am heading up tomorrow on the 4th for two days then going to ride though Vermont for two days, actually staying in Manchester Vermont at a friends house.

I'm going to be a few days late to this one. Going up to Lake George next Wed, stopping for the night near Saranac/Placid. Thursday we'll head over through Vermont, New Hampshire and into Millinocket, Maine.
When I planned this ride, I assumed that Americade was the week before Laconia. Found out the other night it is a week earlier.
Oh well, prices will be normal when I get there!

Just got back today and had a great time! Americade is awesome. Rode up with my Dad and some friends on Thursday. The weather was fantastic. Will be back next year!

NYS Troopers had a "motorcycle only" checkpoint on 87.
DOT helmets, pipes, inspections, license, insurance, registrations.
One of the Troppers, that looked odd, was also performing body- cavity searches on select people.  (not really)
