I am planning a ride up to Greensburg in June. There is 10 bikes that are on the trip with me. Can you tell me what's up that way to see. On are ride we are planing to stop and see where plane 93 crashed and go threw Johnstown and out to Greensburg. We are coming out of Maryland near Hagerstown. I have look on the internet and had no luck. I thought if I posted here that I could find someone from the home town that could help. Thanks and look forward to the information.

I am from Bedford Pa. about 50 miles from Greensburg on Rt. 30. About 30 miles north of Bedford you have Altoona Pa ,with the Horseshoe Curve and Railroaders museum then further up the mountain you have Magoo's tavern great biker bar with good eats from there to Ebensburg and Rt 219 towards Johnstown you have the Johnstown flood museum , keep going on 219 to the Flight 93 Mem. then west on Rt30 to greensburg. Also in the Bedford area there are some historical sites and lots of covered bridges. And lots of lodging in the area.

Im from greensburg

Hey Dyna, you guessed right

Ive lived in the area pretty much all my life...there are a few things to see around here i guess. It all depends on what your looking for.

Im not sure which direction you'll be coming from, but ill tell ya what...if you want when it gets a little close to your road trip you can feel free to contact me on here and either A. ill send you my number and you can give me a call and have me tell ya all you want to know. Or B. id be more than happy to meet up with your crew along the way and give you a guided tour, i can take you right to the flight 93' site, ive been there many times.

Anyway, im goin on too long here..like i said, either way you want to go about it, or both is cool with me. Im sure i can round up a few of my guys around here and have a fairly decent run. Your call man, thats an open ended offer

Thanks, I will keep in contact. It would be nice to hook up and get a guided tour. Right now we are looking for places to stay. Is there any nice places other than the chain Hotels. Is there any camp ground with cabins or small Motels that are nice. Thanks for all the information.

You can take a ride to ohio pyle on Rt40, they have the falls, and a nice creek you can slide down the rocks for about 20 yards, fun to watch the people do it, You got Laurel Caverns if your into caves, they have the regular lighted area and they use to have the unexplored part where you told a flash light and you were on your own, big as hell down there. You can take a ride to Uniontown and cruise Rt 40 t0 washington, nice ride lots of little shops, restaurants, motels, bed and breakfast and nice bars on the way. If your staying in Greensburg take a ride further north on 119 and get further into the mountains, nice riding up there with nice views. Go to AAA and get one of their tour guides for Pa and it has a lot of the out of the way things and places to see, you can also get one from the state but its not as good as AAA's. I live here and didn't know about a lot of the out of the way things. I live about 15 miles out of greensburg, If I can help further email or im me
