Americade 2009

We're thinking about doing a few days at Americade this year (never been). I was wondering if anyone might recommend a house/hotel/motel near the festivities that wont break the bank. I'd love to find a place on the main strip (if there is a main strip) where we could kick back at nite, drink some beer with no hassles and watch the show! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Nothing reasonabl on main st and many have minimum nite stays. Went there a couple of times and stayed in Queensbury. few places there. There are many places to check out. Lake George has a website and they will also mail you motel guide.

we stay at the fort william henery hotel. its directly across the street from the cruise liner dock. great veiw of the lake and right smack in the middle of everything like you want. cost $737.00 total with taxes in for three nites. big room with seperate bedroom.

thinking of going this year. 1st road trip in a while. probably take back roads and stay few nites. Will see what rates are for end of week, downtown
