Sunday Mornings at Marcus Dairy?
Hi All:
The wife and myself will be taking a little road trip "home" this weekend to the Danbury, CT area from the Philly area where we now live. Growing up around there I remember very well the Sunday morning gatherings at Marcus Dairy in Danbury. I was just wondering if bikers still hang out there on Sundays mornings as it would be great to be able to be a part of it rather than just a spectator.
Thanks in advance..
Chris

I think the neighbors have succeeded in ending the Sunday Marcus Dairy gatherings.
You can always e-mail them directly to find out. Owner Sean Marcus is a member here. Do a search of his name and you will find some of his postings and you can click his name to e-mail him.

I just did a show there last year, and I know there was rumor of it being the last one...
Haven't heard if there will be another one this year or not - was in Oct. But as far as every Sunday, I am uncertain.
I thought they did a cruise night for cars every Friday night, too....

We did go this past Sunday and it was GREAT! There must have been 300 bikes there! They are closing sometime this year sadly, but it's well worth the ride from anywhere as long as they are still open. From what some of the locals told us, they are planning on tearing it down and putting up some sort of strip mall. Hopefully the new owners will carry on the tradition.

It's just a shame to destroy what was such a tradition for so long all in the name of "progress". That area does NOT need another strip mall for sure. Oh well. I'm sure everyone will find someplace else to hang out on Sunday mornings up that way....

We do have alot of great roads down here. The wife and myself do try to hit New Hope every Sunday as it's only a 15 minute ride from us. We plan on doing breakfast there again this coming Sunday and then heading up to The Delaware Water Gap area via 32 / 611 / 209. Sunday is supposed to be a great day, so we're looking forward to it. My wife showed very little interest in riding when I bought the bike earlier this year and now SHE is the one who comes up with the road trip ideas!

I actually did just hear from Sean, the owner of Marcus Dairy and fellow forum member, and the good news is that when the property is developed, another dairy bar will be included as part of the project and he hopes that the Sunday morning gatherings will continue.
