Talking Ok Used Guy ...

Being on the north side of 50 I can't really claim to be a "new" guy but I am new to V-TF and the Harley family.

I have ridden for more years than not but have never owned a Harley ... until now. My wife is buying me a Sportster!

Now that both our son and daughter are through college, married and firmly established in careers of their own (and she has completed her bachelor's in Nursing and is an RN) my wife says it is my reward for being so supportive.

WHATEVER ... I'M GETTING A HARLEY!

My '04 883C is in town and getting the initial accessories installed. Hopefully, I will soon be able to add my experiences/pictures to the forums.

(Don't pinch me, I don't want to wake up.)

Thanks for the nod ...

The last part of the waiting is the hardest ... will probably go down in a few and check on the status of my bike. Yesterday all that was left to do was attach the engine guard and clean it up.

Time is short ... I need to ride.

Happy with what I got ...

I think I am going to be happy with my Sportster ... tend to be more of a thankful for what I have than a what else is out there kind of guy.

Glad to know there are others out there that are at least in the same period of life and still lookin' for that next great ride.

( The engine guard is installed ... only the cleanup and smile on my face yet to come.)

Welcome, and congrats. The new Sportsters are really nice. I had a '96 1200, which was great (think I sold it at just the right time...May)(got an '04 FLHTI <deal 08JAN-delivery,after mod.s 10FFEB>), but the new ones are on another level! Enjoy !

Ahhhhhhhrrrrrrrggg!

I just hope it doesn't take me as long to clean up my bike as it is taking the dealer. I know, I know ... mine isn't the only bike they are working on.

I'm very ready for a thereputic ride in the country.

Ridin' & Grinnin'

I'm ridin' ... I'm grinnin' ... I'm happy!

Picked up my bike at noon yesterday and have 150 miles on it. Each time out is even better than the last.
