Talking Howdy All

Howdy everyone,

A quick introduction:

"Someday" finally arrived! After lusting heavily for the last 20 years, I can now say I am a proud Harley owner. This is my first ever motorcycle. I picked up a 2004 Sportster 1200 Custom in Black/Blue a couple weeks ago, and brought it home this past Tuesday night. I have always wanted a Heritage Softail Classic, but could never quite justify the cost, kept saying "someday I'll spend the $$$..." I'm sure you all know how that song goes. Well, someday is here!

A little background:

As I said this is my first ever bike. Until a couple weeks ago, I had never even ridden. Ever. One of my work buddies picked up a 2002 FatBoy a couple years back, and since he knew how much I have always wanted a Harley, he's been working on me to just take the plunge all year, and so I finally did. He's been teaching me to ride for the past couple weeks.

I got my learners permit last Friday, and am signed up for the MSF Safe Rider course for early May. I've been out riding every night this week after work, got almost 100 miles on the bike so far. Gonna be a great weekend

I'm also into diesel truck performance. I'm a member of the Turbo Diesel Register and Diesel-Central.com web sites. My other toy is a 2001 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel 4x4.

I look forward to a lifetime of riding enjoyment. I already have a ton of friends offering to go riding with me. This is gonna be a great life!!

Tom

Welcome Tom

Hey Tom, Welcome to the forum. And congrats on the new Harley. I bought me a 2003 Dyna Low Rider last August and I havent been riding in a while when I bought it. Since then, I have logged a few miles to say the least. Yes it is going to be a great summer. Again, welcome. Ride safe. Wayne G.
