Second Time Around

I've been reading the forum and made several posts, I thought I should finally get around to saying HEY!
I rode EG's in the 70's full time at work and rode my own bikes through the mid 80's. Then when a really good friend of mine got killed on his bike I decided it was time to go four wheels. I've missed the bikes and now at 50 something I have the time, the desire, and most importantly the $$$$ to finally get the bike I've always wanted. So this seems like a good time to get back on two wheels. I've sure met a lot of nice people on this forum and it will make have a bike extra nice. You know some where to share thoughts with people who will understand.
I might have to grow old but I don't have to grow up! I hope to order a RKI on Friday for delivery in 90 days, just in time for spring and those first warm days when the feel of spring air in your face feels great.
Sorry for rambling, now you see why I want to get rumbling
Bill

Welcom Bill,

I know how it is waiting for the new scoot. You will have to let us know what it feels like when you get back on. I know that I was all smiles when I picked up the new RKI. Just make sure and watch the speedo (for some reason the RK's like to run about 75mph).

Stay safe.

Bill

Welcome back to biking. I dropped out for 18yrs and just got a RK standard back in November - great bike. Finally got it broken in - we had a few clear days. Took her out and cruised at 80mph for about 60 miles - very smooth. Blasted it up to 95 -- no prob and still rock solid.

Good luck and ride safe
