Hi My name is Jim and I am new to bikes. I had a 250 Suzki back in 82 till I got myself transfered to Germany by the Yankee Government, and when my son was born in 82 in Munich The Boss said the bike had to go...well 20 years later and a single parent for 17 of them I figure my son is old enough to make his own choices and look out for himself, so I have my 2003 Electra Glide Standard and am loving it. I put the first 1500 miles on it in the 1st 3 weeks . But now the weather is conspiring against us and whe cold and wind are keeping me down to a couple of hundred miles every week or so. I hope with the experiance of everyone I can outfit my bike for a solo trip from Houston to San Diago and up California 1 in August of this year.
