Love to ride my Lady Blue
As an introduction - I began riding at the age of 40 - about 6 years ago. My first bike was a Kawasaki Ninja 250 - which I rode for about a year to get my skills down after taking a MSF. I wanted to join my husband on overnight or cross country trips, but knew the Ninja was not the bike for long distance trips, so I traded for a used HD Sportster that had about 1000 miles on it. I rode that little Sporty for 5 years and we had lots of fun and adventures, but when we took long trips, I would have to stop twice for gas for every once my husband on his Kawasaki ZZR 1200 - and now his Concours - would have to stop! So, instead of investing half the value of the Sporty in parts and labor to put a larger gas tank on it, just this past June I purchased a brand new 2012 HD Dyna Super Glide Custom - My Lady Blue. It was hard to let the Sporty go, but I have to say, I have no regrets! Since June, I have put over 4000 miles on her! I am looking to hopefully meet some other lady riders on the boards here.
