P.O.S. won't start!

Hello! I've had my 1990 FLSTF for about 20yrs now {the last 5 of which she's been sitting idle---due to divorce, etc...} now that I'm trying to get her back on the road, it's been one hurdle after another!

5 years is a long time, the crap they call gas does not last 6 months, The other day I filled up with premium and stopped at the hardware store and it wouldn't fire, had water in the gas. Not much, about a 1/4 of a cup. So ya got compression and ya got spark and if your gas is good you should be on the road. R U injected or carburated?

You need fresh gas in the tanks, make sure the tanks are not lined with rust.

Disassemble the carb and clean it.

Replace all the fuel hoses.

New spark plugs.

New battery.
