'83 FXWG - Shovelheads Forever

Hi,
I ride a'83 FXWG, belt drive front & rear, kickstart only, with some custom electronics to keep it clean.

First started riding in 1959, so I guess I'm an old guy.

I'll contribute whatever I can, but my best area is electrics.

Always good to hear from old guys, im a old guy too 58. Started rideing in the early 70s BSA chopped was my frist street bike. i ride a 1980 fxe 1200 shovel now. bought it in 1991 still rideing it. speaking of electrics i just went trou some probs. bike would run rough when hot and back fire, went trou the carb and intake- new jets new rubber intake bands, plugs & wires. found out it was a cracked coil. 2 mos later- new coil and runs like new.
