I learned to ride before I learned to drive. I last rode in High School in 1981. I joined the Army and was married for 25 years to a woman who hated motorcycles. This past summer I divorced and bought an 07 Road King the day I moved out.

Way to go man. My first wife wasn't for or against motorcycles but the wife I have now is just plain awesome. I had a Honda Hawk and she suggested I look at a Harley. So we did and she said I should get the Electra Glide I was sitting on and test rode. She said "it fit's you". We traded the Honda and rode home on the Harley. She's a keeper. Both!

My wife is not exactly into Motorcycles, but he likes to ride with me. We have had the discussion about not asking me to give up something I that much. That was as we were riding the back roads, then we hit some gray chad gravel and went down on my honda VTX 1800. she tried to grab me instead of rolling out to grass and lost a chunk of her knee cap. She was in the hospital for 3 days and is fine with riding now. She does grab me pretty tight when she sees gravel.

similar experience here...first wife kept me too broke to get anything nice.After she was gone I got my finances straightened out,and I had more in my pocket even after support payments.second wife is awesome,now I have 2 nice bikes in my garage.no more cheap foreign crap.
